A little frustrating but better than the last gap! And to start a photo of my daughter's mad cat; Seuss ... he rolls over like a dog!!
No sooner had I put up the other post, wham off to hospital I did go. Another chest infection and bronchitis. My throat kept going into spasm (Vocal Cord Dysfunction) and therefore trying to breathe with just my 25% lung function was so incredibly difficult. It took a good 10 days to recover from the chest infection and then I have slowly built my strength back up ... to be able to visit a wool shop; Pins and Needles in Devizes, Wiltshire, yesterday.

A wonderful bonus has been the weather, just glorious - yes there has been some very chilly mornings and at least one frosty morning that has sadly clobbered my wisteria just as it was coming into bloom. This has made me very sad, however the rest of the garden has been flowering:
Our garden is quite (small) wilderness because I love to attract the bees and butterflies. Quite a few years ago now, Noel and I went on a Bee Keeping course at the now closed Urchfont Manor. But we just couldn't afford all the equipment plus a swarm of honey bees and sadly trying to find a place to keep the hive was proving equally as difficult. So we decided that we would assist all bees in our garden.

I have also started a few projects - partially because my concentration levels are very low when on high steroid dosages but also I do not a have the project police to stop me!

I have been sewing a small 'sock knitting' project bag using two random FQ (Fat Quarters) in my stash. I love this bicycle fabric. I will put up the pictures when I get round to finishing the bag, I am going a little bit each day.
I have finished crocheting the little blanket that I showed in my last post but I yet to block it, so I will put up finished photo's when the blanket looks all square and clean.
I am going to owe you all quite a few photo's at the rate!

I have a dream of visiting Normandy in France in September. I am not sure I will be well enough to go but I want some big dreams; and visiting the Bayeax Tapestry is one of them. And as we will in the area I would also like to visit Giverny and particularly; Claude Monet's Museum. So I have purchased a road map book of France, and DK books about; France, Normandy, Loire Valley and Brittany. I think we are going to try and stay in Parc du Perche, a very quiet and little known place in the south of Normandy. Whether we take are caravan yet, depends on prices for the ferry. But I am less likely to catch other people's germs by staying in our caravan! Sadly my immune system is so poor, that going to any new place spells disaster/hospital trips for me.

When I was in hospital in March, a lovely lady visiting her friend in the bed next to mine, noticed I was reading a Santa Montefiore book. She said she had a couple of her books at home and would bring them in for me. Which she kindly did a couple of days later. I offered to pay for them but she was so sweet and gave them to me. So when I have finished I will pass them on to my neighbour who sadly is also poorly.
I will try and make my next post about Poppy's fantastic trip to Mongolia and Russia ... here is a little taster! In the mean time I will try very hard to stay at home.
And I thought I would finish with the mad cat Seuss in my shopping basket, he is 16 months old and can still be very kitten like on occasions.
